How to Set Up a Student's Program Book

Students’ program books can be set up using Thread’s program templates with original content.

Please note, access to curriculum libraries is unavailable at this time. Set up one student at a time.

To create a new program book:

  1. Navigate to mobile.threadlearning.com and log in

  2. From the menu, click Start a Session

  3. Select a student in the drop-down

  4. Next to “Pinned” or “Session” Setup, click + Add Program

  5. Choose a program type:

    • Percent Correct

    • Task Analysis

    • Frequency

    • Duration

    • Interval

  6. Enter the program name and complete each of the following screens:

    • Program details: contains information such as the program’s name, data type, trial information, and program goal.

      • Click the Pin this program checkbox to add programs to the “Pinned” section of the blue drawer. Please note, Frequency, Duration, Discrete Trial, and Task Analysis programs are pinned by default, but can be unpinned.

    • Unit details: contains information such as the unit goal, definition, and procedure.

    • Targets: contains all targets, criteria for mastery, and steps for task analysis.

    • Phase details: contains information that changes when users create phase line changes, such as the phase name, summary, prompts, instructional cues, reinforcement and baseline information.

  7. Click Save

To edit an existing program book:

  1. Navigate to mobile.threadlearning.com and log in

  2. From the menu, click Start a Session

  3. Select a student in the drop-down

  4. In the program selection screen, click the overflow menu (...) next to the program to be edited

  5. Click Edit Program, starting from “Phase details”

  6. Make changes and click Save

  7. Answer Yes or No to the question, “Would you like to a phase change line?”
